It's Oscars season again, which can only mean one thing: The Prestigious 12th Annual Toscars night in the centre of Hollywood. The idea is simple, take an oscar nominated film and produce a film within 3 weeks. 7 teams are created at random and our film: Roma.
The Parody became: 'Coma' Which which received 10 nominations and won 5 awards, including
'BEST PICTURE'
It was an honour for the academy to choose our film, it's truly a team effort and the film was a collaborative process from start to finish. Everyone pitched in and the production quality speaks for itself. Jeff did such great work with the script and Joe encouraged a lot of improv once we got our lines out. Coming from The Groundlings, there is nothing I love more than a bit of improv work.
It just goes to show you what can be done with a low budget and a wonderful cast of trained, professionals who love comedy and love creating something special. This film would not be possible without the work of Roma being released by Netflix and the wonderful performances in that film.
